Michael Penn, Aimee Mann To Tour In 2000

Singer/songwriter husband and wife tag-team Michael
Penn and Aimee Mann will be hitting the road together
in January, as previously reported in allstar (Nov.
23). As an extension of their weekly Tuesday night
stint at Largo in Los Angeles, Mann and Penn will hit
the freeways on Jan. 25 in San Francisco and continue
through a mid-February stint in New York City.
Penn will be performing songs from his forthcoming
album, MP4 (Days Since a Lost Time Accident), set for
release Feb. 1, 2000 on Epic Records. Select comedians
throughout the tour will open up for Mann and Penn as
well as provide between-song banter and commentary.
In related news, Mann was recently nominated for a
Golden Globe for Best Original Song for a Film for
"Save Me," from the film Magnolia.
